Shanae & Austin Engagement

Shanae contacted me several months ago to photograph her wedding later this year. It made me feel absolutely amazing that she had already chosen me as her wedding photographer long before her wedding day. I’m excited to share with you some of the highlights of her engagement session with her husband-to-be, Austin!

Wardrobe

We did an online consultation for their wardrobe choices, and I have to say, Shanae has great style! (Though I’m sure Austin probably had some input too, right? Guys LOVE this kind of thing, right? Right?)

First Impressions

I met Austin for the first time at our session, and I’m glad to see he is laid back and run just like Shanae. That is going to be a great asset on their wedding day.

Getting to Know You

I love doing engagement sessions with clients because I feel like it gives us a chance to get to know one another on a personal level. It gives a sort of rehearsal for the big moments on their big day. We learn to work with one another and see limitations, and thing that make the photos look best. I like to have a chance to kind of take out the awkwardness so we are completely ready to go when the day comes. Every couple is different, and I want to display that through my images.

Tailored to You

I want to show them their best selves through my lens, and I tailor each session to the vibe I get from the couple. Their relationship is beautiful and is anything but cookie-cutter, and I want to showcase what makes them special by letting them interact with one another and let their love shine through.

I had so much fun with this couple and it makes me so eager to see them this fall all dressed up and ready to tie the knot!
