The Williams Wedding

The Williams Wedding

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the engagement photos and wedding of the new Williamses! Their Greenville, Kentucky wedding was nothing short of a fairy tale, as the bride, Natalie, looked just like a real princess, happy to have found her prince, Austin.

The Venue

I arrived a little earlier than expected to the venue, because I was afraid that being in a new area, I wouldn’t be able to locate it. Luckily, it was very easy to find, and surrounded by the most gorgeous country setting imaginable. Miles and miles of open fields of flowers and farms surround this little oasis of country class nestled in the rolling hills of Muhlenburg County, Kentucky. The Country Plantation House is every bride’s dream venue and offered nothing but the best, most luxurious experience. Their setting made a beautiful backdrop for some amazing wedding photos!

Prep

The bride had the choice of several large rooms to do prep in, but the pink room most definitely stood out.

The Dress

After settling in, I began scouting out locations for the little detail photos. I started with the dress, and found these lovely french doors that I thought would be the highlight of where to hang the dress. However, one of the bridesmaids recommended I take a trip up the next flight of stairs into this room, with the centerpiece being a white, winding staircase. It was a match made in photography heaven! After taking a peek on up the stairs, I came to the lookout room where I was excited to capture some stunning images of the bride’s dress.

The Decor

I took a trip around the empty mansion, well, it was far from empty, it was actually full of lively floral elements and classic white and light pink decor. Every tip of every room was exquisitely put together.

The Gift

The groom sent a gift up to his bride-to-be and absolutely wowed her. These pearl earrings made the perfect touch to her wedding attire.

The Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids were some of the most fun, hilarious people I’ve ever had the chance to work with. They were so easy going and ready to help with any shots I wanted to take. They were all dedicated to helping make the most of this bride’s big day.

Bridal Portraits

Bridal portraits are one of my favorite parts of the day and I was so eager to see Natalie all dolled up and ready for her closeup.

The First Look

The first look was tear-jerking–literally. Both side cried when they saw one another, and it was the most precious thing to witness. Seeing them the way they saw one another the day they were wed really shows the love they share and sets the tone for their loving future together.

The Wedding Party

We tried to knock out as many portraits before the ceremony as possible, to leave less time needed to be taken from the reception late for photos. These are some of my favorites!

The couple’s niece wearing the bride’s wedding shoes right before the ceremony was too cute!

The Ceremony

The forecast wasn’t in our favor for the ceremony, but the rain held off throughout the remainder of the day. It hardly sprinkled up until the ceremony, and though we were expecting much more rain, it worked out perfectly, and the showers skipped over us!

The Family

Because of the wind, however, we opted to have the remainder of family portraits taken inside the mansion.

The Elusive Flower Girl

Throughout the day one of the little flower girls refused to let me catch her on camera. The couple’s niece, little S, was so elusive. At every corner she knew just when to turn her head! However, when I asked her brother to come take a picture with her, it took only a quick game of tag for me to finally capture her on camera!

The Cake

The striking wedding cake was just as enchanting as it was delicious. The solid white cake was adorned by Natalie and Austin’s initials, making up their very own new Williams monogram!

The First Dance

Natalie sang nearly the entire first dance song to her new husband, and it turned into a beautiful moment of love and laughter, which are ever-present in their relationship.

The Father-Daughter Dance

When the father of the bride stepped in for the father-daughter dance, emotions ran wild–then they did–then the wedding party did. Don’t believe me? JUST WATCH.

The Excitement

But the guests had just as much fun as those who were in the wedding! Check out these fun shots of the guests getting down!

The Wedding Couple

I snatched up the couple and swept them out to this nearby field because the popping yellow wildflowers were too amazing to pass up.

The Fun

I caught the bridesmaids kicking off their heels and heading off to check out these huge chairs.

The remainder of the night consisted of lots of entertainment, and good times with good people, and a special dance with the step-father of the groom.

May the new Williamses have a wonderful life together full of all the same excitement of their big day!
