When Bill & Leslie initially contacted me to photograph their wedding, we decided to meet up in a coffee shop. I wasn’t sure who to expect because I hadn’t been able to find her over social media. So, every couple who walked into Starbucks that day was asked “Hi! Are you here for wedding photography?” And I got a few “Not just yet!” and the even more awkward “No, this is my sister.” Haha.
When they arrived, we instantly clicked and Leslie’s bubbly personality set the tone for how absolutely beautiful this wedding would be. Just sitting with them in the coffee shop and watching the way they reacted to one another had me anxious to skip to their big day and photograph them! Decor

The decor was a classy collection of pink, navy, and white–not to mention that the cake was every bit delicious as it was elegant. All of the lights throughout the barn at Waveland set a perfect backdrop for detail photos.

The Guys

We started photos with the guys, and we were racing against the weather. Luckily, the showers held off for the most part throughout the day and we were able to snag some shots between showers!

 

The Gals

Next we moved over to the girls, of course while hiding the guys so the groom didn’t see his bride before the ceremony. One of the flower girls loved the camera, and you can see the camera loved her too! The spotlight was shining on her and she absolutely rocked it! Here are some of the photos we took of the girls and the stunning bride.

The Ceremony

The flower girls were pulled down the aisle by the ring bearer!

The Wedding Party

We united the girls and guys for some group photos! How cute is this ring bearer?!

The Couple

The next part is always my favorite part of the day–when the couple and I can sneak away for some private shots of just them. Sometimes it is great to pull away from the hustle and bustle of your big day to get some intimate photos that showcase who you are as a couple. This is exactly what we did!

A Special Delivery

One of my absolute favorite things in the world is when someone loses their breath and can’t speak because they’re laughing so hard. There is some inside joke that I am not entirely sure of here, because while Leslie tried to tell me why she was presenting a guest with donut holes, she couldn’t contain her excitement and laughter. Maybe if this guest sees this post they can elaborate! I’m sure its a funny story!

Cutting the Cake

It has become a trend lately to gently feed your bride/groom their cake, but I am all about the traditional cram-it-in-their-face-because-its-funny situation!

The First Dance

The surprise dip-and-kiss was the topper on the couple’s first dance! I’m so happy to have been just at the right angle to capture it.

Getting The Garter

Something I had never witnessed before was the hilarious way the groom crawled to his bride to remove her garter. I think it surprised everyone, even his new wife!

Dance the Night Away

After some family photos, the guests and couple danced the night away, right before a sparkler sendoff.
